Making, baking & buying

This week has been all about Making, baking and buying... well not so much baking, butI have found so many beautiful things for the shop and for the boat (and for me!!). This Victorian doll's pram is my favourite. I did my research and it dates back to 1870. It was a little expensive, but well worth it! I tried to walk away, but I just couldn't! Anyway it makes for a very welcome addition to the shop, or I could wheel it down bethnal green with a doll in it and pretend it was my baby (that would be very scary) I wouldn't do that.... Yet!

Victorian pram

Mirror I found. Was gold, but think it looks better white.

1950's Tala cake tin. Bought from a lovely lady on Columbia road flower market.

Crystal decanters bought for the wedding. I think these will make lovely table pieces. On sale from Frockney Rebel in September. (So far I have collected 10, about 20 to go!)

Amazing blue Rover. I found this in my dad's stone yard. I would have taken it, but it wouldn't fit in my bag!

I am soon to be married and I have just realised that I have been far too laid back with the preparations . I have no wedding planner. I am the wedding planner! Anyway the last few weeks have been about frantic bunting/Wedding book/tag/invitation and banner making. I have been on my sewing machine non stop. I am also a maniac on etsy, desperately searching for a veil and other last minute things. We are getting married in the woods, which is exciting and may be a little bonkers considering the weather we've had. I would consider myself a laid back person and usually take things in my stride, BUT and it really is a big but, I do not want to wear wellies on my wedding day. Sure I'll knock about in wellies if I'm at Glastonbury, but I would much rather wear a beautiful pair of vintage heels. I'd even be ok if the stiletto occasionally sinks in to the mud, but if it is a mud bath then I'm guessing wellies are the only option! Anyway rant over, lets pray for the sun until then!
Oh and here are some of the beautiful things I have been buying for the shop. Until next time xxx
