Jewels. More jewels. This is what you guys requested last week in Frockney Rebel. So we are bringing back the rules on jewels. I have spent this week on the rummage and my beady eyes led me to Essex, the homeland. This is where I found the first few of my precious stones. Been taking a few tips from Fagin - Picking a pocket or two, but it seems to have payed off as we have found some beautiful pieces.

Fagin - Master of picking pockets.

So this year is really the year for weddings.

I'm not referring to Big Gypsy Weddings (although they are pretty impresssive) nor am I referring to Kate and Will cos I really couldn't give two hoots whether Kate decides to travel to her wedding by carriage or car. Get on your bike love and do us all a favour. YAWN.  No this year three of my nearest and dearest couples are tieing the knot. I haven't been to a wedding since my binge drinking days. It was the noughties. Summer of 03. Margate was the setting I was sweet sixteen. I wore tight white hipsters, a halter neck top from Jane Norman and drank Smirnoff ice until I pretty much passed out. That was a wedding to remember. I'm hoping that I have somewhat matured since that day in Margate. Three weddings. Three different dresses? We have plenty of beautiful dresses in at the mo, so maybe I could borrow a few from the rails and neatly hang them afterwards? I'll try to not leave any smirnoff stains, but I can't make any promises ; )  The third wedding I will be attending will be held in Bordeaux. Perfect chance to sample some fine wine from the vineyards and I will be going for a french theme when choosing my dress, so will be drawing inspiration from Biddy Bardot herself.

So Banksy's 'Exit Through The Gift shop' has not surprisingly been nominated for an oscar. I'm trying to work out if I can somehow get the man himself to grafitti our shop wall. I mean I could tempt him with many things. I make a mean cup of tea in this little shop. I have laughing cow cheese triangles in abundance. We could sit and watch Big Fat Gypsy Weddings together. Even do The Guardian crossword online (I allow three cheats each) and if none of these things tempt him, I could always treat him to a doner with chilli sauce salad from Troy Kebabs next door. You can read Banksy's 'Exit Through The Gift Shop' interview here.

I bet Testino thought he had struck gold when he photographed these two

But can you imagine the joy that Alex Warren Hall felt when she photgraphed these two

Yep our Frockney Rebel models Caroline & Harry are definitely not camera shy. Kate and Will take note. Big time.
So hello to everybody who has managed to take a look at our new shop Frockney Rebel or to sign up to our facebook page. We are really excited about our new venture and after a crazy Christmas spent with friends making the shop (special thanks to sexy peeps Ed, Alex, Nav, Matt, Ben & Bart). Everything, eventually ran smoothly (bar a few tears and one broken collar bone). We are now open and have already had some bloody lovely customers.
Blogging is kind of a new thing for us so we will try not to bore (too ofter anyway).  Starting from the next blog we will also try hard not to use the words  “awful,” “lazy” and “depressing” as according to a University of Colorado study bloggers who use these words tend to be 'neurotic types'. We will instead probably use words like "drunk", "hangover" and "hanging".

A few things we're excited about . . .

Swedish Fillipa K's Grape coloured Willa Stud Booties. Anything swedish we love (especially the 50p hotdogs in Ikea)

Museum of London's exhibition 'Street Photography'  18 February – 4 September 2011, FREE entry (that's the best part)
